FAQS
Candles & Wax Melts
What does hand poured mean?
It means that we make our wax melts and candles the old-fashioned way. Hand-poured simply means the melted wax is blended with fragrance and poured in our vessels. They are not mass-produced like factory-made candles.
Where are your products made?
All of our products are handcrafted locally in our studio located in Fairfield Twp. Ohio.
Do you offer wholesale pricing?
Not at this time, we are looking to exand into wholesale in the near future.
Do you offer custom items?
Yes, we do offer custom labels for our candle tins.
I'm seeing black soot when I burn my candle is this ok?
Yes. Smoke and soot are natural natural parts of the burning process.
To keep the soot to a minimum, it's REALLY important that you trim your wick EACH time before relighting. This can be done with nail clippers, regular scissors or a wick trimmer.
An untrimmed wick will lead to issues with your candle (including higher amounts of soot + smoke).
What if I'm looking for a scent I don't see?
We offer a lot of seasonal + limited edition fragrances. Because of this, we sometimes need to discontinue scents so that we can bring in the new! If there's a scent that you loved that's no longer available, you can reach out and see what we can do for you.
What makes Weekend Flame different?
Our candles are hand-poured with love in individual batches, ensuring a quality product every time. Made with with 100% natural soy wax, infused with high quality fragrance oils.
Soap FAQs
What is cold process soap?
Cold process soap making is the original, traditional method of making soap by combining fat or oil (animal or plant based) with sodium hydroxide lye then blending in addition of essential oils and colorants as required. This treatment causes a chemical reaction called saponification which results in soap.
What makes cold process soap special?
Cold processed soap is known for its silky smoothness. This comes mainly from the olive oil base, a luxury near impossible to find in commercial bars. Additionally, you can expect a rich lather, another benefit of using pure veggie oils like coconut oil.
How long will my soap last?
It depends on well you take care of your soap. Do not allow soap to sit in water. Keep away from shower spray when not in use. Keep your soap in a well drained soap dish to prevent water from gathering under the soap.
Are your soaps safe for sensitive skin?
Our soaps are handmade using the best oils and butters. We recommend checking the ingredients before making your purchase. We also offer fragrance free and color free soap.
Do the soaps have a use by date?
We recommend using our soap within 6 months. The scents and colors will fade slowly over time.
Why don't my soaps look like the photos?
All of our items are handmade and due to the handmade nature there will be some variances in appearance from batch to back.
